A water tank is in the shape of a cone.Its diameter is 50 meter and slantedge is also 50 meter.How much water it can store Ā Ā Ā Ā In it ? it releases water to a gated apartment building at therate of 400 liters per second. In how many minutes tank will be empty? Ā Ā Ā

(pi*r^2)*h/3

The radius is 50/2 = 25

To find h, we need to use the pythagorean theorem with the slant edge.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a^2 + 25^2 = 50^2

a^2 = 1875

a = 43.301 m


pi*25^2*43.301/3 =Ā 28340.44 m^3

1 m^3 = 1000 L

28340.44 m^3 * 1000L = 28,340,440 L

400 L/s

28,340,440L / 400LĀ  =Ā  70,851.1 seconds.

70,851.1 / 60 = 1,180.9 minutes.
